How to Get to Quy Nhon – The easiest ways to get there!

What is there in Quy Nhon?
Imagine a 42-kilometre coastline of stunning beaches, enclosed by mountains and rice paddy fields. The natural beauty is what will perhaps stun you the most. Quy Nhon is serviced by two local airlines, with regular trains and buses available.
By air
If travelling by air, you will have to catch a flight from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh. The most popular airlines that service Quy Nhon includes Jet Star, Vietnam Airlines, and Viet Jet Air. You can also get the shuttle bus for 50 VND per ticket. A sleeper bus is available from Ho Chi Minh from the Mien Dong Bus Station. It takes about 10 -12 hours to reach the destination. If travelling by train, take a train from Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi to Dieu Railway station, which is about 25 minutes away from Quy Nhon. From Ho Chi Minh the train journey takes around 10 -12 hours, and from Hanoi about 20 hours. Check for times, dates and ticket prices online, perhaps even book them in advance. Once you arrive, get a taxi from the airport to your Quy Nhon hotel.
Take a scenic rail journey
The Quy Nhon Railway Station is 15 kilometres off the Reunification Express line. It accepts only one train a day from Ho Chi Minh City, and a 13-hour sleeper train. An alternative is to get the train to Dieu Tri Railway Station. From there, it is around a 25-minutes’ drive away, get a taxi or a bus from the train station to Quy Nhon.
Numerous trains service Dieu Tri Railway Station daily. From Ho Chi Minh City to Dieu Tri, it takes approximately 10 to 12 hours, and tickets are priced at USD 34.50, for a 4-sleeper cabin. These are an efficient way to get around, as you can sleep on the way and wake up at your next destination. From Hanoi, it is about 20 hours, and tickets are priced at USD 43. Use the travel search engine Baolau to book your tickets which is the most convenient way. Book a few days in advance, and once confirmed, an e-ticket will be sent to you. Use the booking number given to print your paper ticket at the station. Trains are a great way to appreciate the beauty of Vietnam.
Take a Bus
Find the Quy Nhon Bus Station on the south end of Quy Nhon, near the Big C Supermarket. Various bus operators run buses between Quy Nhon and other Vietnamese cities. It will also be the most economical option available for those on a budget. You will have to expect the journey to be longer than the estimated time.
Many sleeper buses leave Mien Dong Bus Station in Ho Chi Minh City daily. The journey will take around 12-14 hours to complete. Most operators depart in the evenings. The principal bus operators running this route are Futa Bus and Phuc Thuan Thao. Tickets are priced at USD 11, and the best way to book them is through Baolau. Several buses travel from other cities like Pleiku. Da Nang, Da Lat, and Nha Trang. You can also get the hotels you are staying at to help you organise the transportation.
