About Bintan

Bintan Islands are also known as Negeri Segantang Lada is located in the Riau archipelago which is a part of Indonesia and the Riau Island Province. How to get there

From Indonesia, domestic flights are available to the Bintan Islands. Flights to Bintan, Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport in Kijang from Jakarta, Matak, Perkanbaru, Batam, Natuna, and Dabo Singkep. A daily ferry operation from Punggur Ferry Terminal, Batam to Sri Bintan Pura Ferry Terminal, in Tanjungpinang run by MV SENTOSA and MV BARUNA. The journey takes around 60 minutes and tickets are priced at IDR 110,000 for a round trip. Via Singapore, a ferry is operated between Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal from Singapore to Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry in Bintan. The journey will take around 60 minutes in the high-speed catamarans. Those arriving from Changi Airport can take get to TMFT via shuttle service from the airport in terminals 1 and 4 or other means of public transport.

Best beaches in Bintan

Trikora Beach located on the eastern coast of the island is perhaps the most well-known stretch of coastline. There are four separate sections comprised of great beauty, charm and tranquillity. You can also visit the nearby fishing village to see fishermen on stilts, and stop by to sample local treats like seaweed dodol.

White Sands Island is a private island that is just a 15-minute ride away from the Trikora Coast. The islands boast pristine coastlines and are the perfect location for those who love to go snorkelling and scuba diving. You can head to Sun Fish Cove, which is a well-known jump spot. There is also a shopping complex nearby known as Lagoi Plaza, the promenade holds spectacular views of the South China Sea. Hamid Beach is to be found on the north-western coast and among the most secluded and tranquil beaches on Bintan. The water is spotless and is surrounded by lush vegetation. The ideal spot for a family picnic or some quiet seclusion. The beach is visited by the locals who live around the area, giving you the chance to mix with the locals as well.
