About the park

This is known to be the most exciting, and active theme park in the area. The park which is open seven days a week from 10 am to 6 pm is also rather expensive due to the state of the art rides, the maintenance, and the sheer size of the park which includes 30 different water slides and a private beach which is 1km long. The rides are segregated for different ages as some slides are quite thrilling and are unsuitable for children or even adults with different illnesses such as heart diseases.

 What you need to know

Known as one of the top things to do in Dubai, it is no surprise that the Aquaventure Waterpark sees throngs of people on a daily basis, so one of the main things you need to know - is to try and make sure you get there early.  This is the only way you can make the best of your day at this humongous water park. Located not too far away from the city’s accommodation such as Avani Palm View Dubai you need to set off early so you can reach the location on time and start your day off with some fun water splashes! One of the main things you need to remember is to pack water shoes or flip-flops in your backpack. These are not a must but having them with you will allow you to enjoy the day better as you will not have to worry about protecting your shoes or putting them on and taking them off with every ride you go on! This tip is suggested as it can get extremely hot in Dubai, so you cannot walk around bare feet in an open space. For those who do not like the thrilling water rides that get your heart racing and adrenaline rushing, you can enjoy the other rides such as the lazy river here as well. This attraction is a boat ride along a slow river that is a little more than two kilometres long and the full trip will take you a little less than an hour to complete. You can also spend time with your group of family or friends by the beach which is a peaceful location as it is not open to the public since it's only for those who enter the park. One of the main attractions – not for the faint-hearted, is to opt to swim with sharks or dolphins or even both!  A quick tip for those who love taking selfies, keep your selfie sticks and camera in your locker as you will not be allowed to take this equipment and gadgets into the water park due to safety reasons and precautions.

 Plan your visit

Remember to pack a small backpack with the essentials you will need for the park. One of the main things you need is sunscreen and you should take it with you so you do not miss out on reapplying. You will need to carry your wallet only to the point of the entrance because they have a system that allows you to wear a waterproof wrist band which will allow you to pay for all the rides and snacks and basically anything at the park. You should keep in mind to keep yourself hydrated so carry a bottle of water with you and make sure you pack a spare set of clothes to change into before you leave the park at the end of the day.
