Along the path covering the reserve are several by-paths, which should be explored. So, do be adventurous and stroll the off-the-beaten path to discover hidden little pockets that are simply breathtaking.

Manly to Spit Bridge Walk in Sydney

Explore Sydney’s world-famous Northern beaches on this trail. Enjoy the long coastal walk promising stunning views of Sydney Harbour. The trail starts at Manly Walk and meanders towards Spit Bridge. Enjoy the sea breezes along the harbour trail, which makes its way past sub-tropical bushlands. There are little side trails you can take for walks through pretty beaches, northern Sydney inlets, and quiet bays.

Enjoy the dose of history along the way as you make your way past the Grotto Point Lighthouse and the rocks adorned with Aboriginal paintings of colourful kangaroos, boomerangs, and fish.

Explore Manly Beach and its fun surroundings including the shops, cafes, and restaurants by starting your walk at Spit Bridge and heading towards Manly.

This trail may not be ideal for small children as it consists of rocky areas and uneven paths. It’s a 10km, 4-hour walk and offers picture-perfect views of the harbour, a chance to enjoy a picnic, and iconic attractions.

The Bundeena to Wedding Cake Rock Walk

Explore South Sydney on this trail. This walk allows you to explore the 26-kilometre Coast Track in a shortened form, which starts at Beachcomber Avenue. From this starting point in Bundeena, you can make your way to Wedding Cake Rock.

Along the way, look forward to pretty blooms of colourful coastal flora, rugged sandstone cliffs, and coastal lookout points, which are typical of Sydney’s environs.

Anyone with moderate fitness levels can take on this walk. While the path is not too long, there are rocky and steep areas. Plus, you will be making your way across coastal bushlands, which can be demanding at some points.

Take along plenty of water and snacks. The area has limited phone coverage. And make sure to stay behind the barrier of Wedding Cake Rock when taking pictures. The rock is unstable and dangerous to anyone breaking the rules.
